Dr Ashkan Saebi

Pain & Rehabilitation Specialist

Dr Ashkan Saebi is a dual trained doctor in rehabilitation and pain medicine. He works across a number of hospitals including the Prince of Wales Public, Waratah Privateand St George Hospitals as a specialist in the fields of Rehabilitation and Pain medicine.

He was trained at some of the best rehabilitation medicine training centers in Sydney including the Prince of Wales, St George and Royal Rehab hospitals. During his training in rehabilitation medicine, he acquired expertise in the management of musculoskeletal and neurological conditions. He completed his rehabilitation training in 2021. 

His interest in pain management led him to embark on a second specialty in Pain medicine. He commenced his training at the prestigious pain department in Prince of Wales Hospital and successfully completed his fellowship exams in 2022. He continues to work with the pain department at the Prince of Wales hospital under the leadership of Associate Professor Khor. 

Dr Saebi has a strong academic interest in educating the next generation of doctors. He has joined the UNSW school of medicine as a conjoint lecturer in pain and rehabilitation medicine. He is a published author in the medical research field and his latest research project involves evaluation of the efficacy and safety of pain procedures in patients with chronic pain conditions. 

In 2021, he became an accredited State Insurance Regulatory Authority (SIRA) assessor, qualified to assess clients for permanent impairment following accidents and work-related injury. 

Dr Saebi obtained his Rehabilitation fellowship from the Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine. 

He has also undertaken pain training at the Prince of Wales Hospital and completed the required fellowship exams in 2022. 

In 2021, Dr Saebi became an accredited State Insurance Regulatory Authority (SIRA) assessor, qualified to assess clients for permanent impairment following accidents and work-related injury. 

Dr Saebi is also a Conjoint lecturer at the University of New South Wales, School of Medicine. This role allows him to mentor, support and contribute to the education of the new generation of doctors in NSW.
